Dandelion (Taraxacum sp.)
Little stars of golden fluff
Burst sudden on the lawn;
Ripen to an airy puff;
Blow at them—and they’re gone!
Monotony of turf grass
No longer greenly chaste.
Dandelion, divinely crass,
The triumph of bad taste!
In the name of the bee And of the butterfly And of the breeze, amen! Emily Dickinson
